Welcome to the ZeloPhotoBlog!

What's up photo-lovers!  We're in the middle of making some changes to the blog, so forgive any sloppiness you might see right now...it'll be cleaned up soon, we promise!

Sneak Peeks Galore!!

Well it’s a good thing we’re not graded on our blogging discipline!  With so many shoots going on it’s not always easy to keep a consistent blogging routine (i know, all you hardcore bloggers out there will disagree), but we’re doing our best  :)
We wanted to throw a few images on here for your sneaking peekage.  This is only a fraction of what’s on the blogging schedule and we’ve got several more engagement shoots, both local and out-of-towners.  We’ve also got more San Diego weddings as well as some from NorCal and even a Martha’s Vineyard wedding coming soon.  So stick the heck around and geek out with us!  And speaking of geeking out, if you’re not already doing it, be sure to follow us on Twitter!

Now….on to the photos:

Enough for now?  Good….we’ll be back soon  :)

June 5, 2009 - 7:29 pm Jared - I love the picture of Lisa and Brent kissing on the double yellow lines. You two just keep getting better and better!

June 8, 2009 - 7:48 pm Yvonne Brett - I was just watching the video of Brooke & Brandon's wedding that Jared and Danielle took, and I was glad they listed the vendors on their site. When I saw it was you two, I thought I would come to your site and check out what you got. You took some amazing shots! Beautiful bride & groom with a great location!

Tina & Michael - Woodside, CA

It seems like half the weddings we shoot are outside of San Diego…we LOVE it!  Tina & Michael’s wedding took place at Mountain Terrace up in Woodside, CA.  The drive up was awesome, with a lot of winding mountain roads and trees everywhere!  How they found this place, I’ll never know.  Aside from being in a great location, the weather was perfect too.  Once again, we were definitely honored to be a part of this wedding and here’s a few of Tina & Michael’s photos:

May 6, 2009 - 11:35 am sheri - that ring shot is amazing!

May 10, 2009 - 11:06 pm Jared - I second that--great ring shot. I also really like that bench shot with the trees. Great pics you two!

Sandy & Chris Are Engaged!

You would never know by looking at him (or by shooting photos of him) that Chris is a drill sargeant!  I don’t think we really found that out until the end of the session though which is good because had we known, we might have shot the session completely different!  Just kidding, just kidding.
Sandy & Chris were really fun to shoot…we even got Chris to jump!  That being said, I don’t think jumping shots are for everybody, LOL.  We still love the photo though.  Thanks for being a good sport, Chris!
Anyway, here’s a few from the engagement session.  We wish we were heading to Iowa for the wedding too!  :)

Natalie & Jake’s Chicago Wedding

It feels like we’re SOOOO late blogging this one becase we’ve already updated our regular website with some of Natalie & Jake’s images (see wedding gallery 4).  When Natalie & Jake told us they wanted to bring us out to Chicago to shoot their wedding, obviously we were stoked.  We love shooting out-of-town weddings and we’d never been to Chicago so we knew it was going to be great.
The ceremony was held at Assumption Catholic Church with the reception at Fulton’s On The River.  Even though everything was pretty much within walking distance we hopped in the limo with our newlyweds and hit a few cool spots on the way to the reception.  We LOVED it!  From the awesome bridal party to the awesome dance party that wrapped up the night, this wedding was huge success and we’re so thankful we got to be a part of it.
So, we’re ready for our next Chicago wedding.  Who’s it gonna be??  :)

Side By Side Video - A Quickie….

You might remember Danielle & Jared…or at least their work…from a few posts ago. When they decided to make some updates to their website and blog they wanted to have some new photos of themselves to go along with it. As Desiree and I went through their images I wanted to post a couple of our favorites really quick, while we finish the rest of the set. I’m thinkin’ movie poster-size in the their living room with these….what about you? :)

Angie & Jared - Back-To-Back

This is just a little sneak peek at Angie & Jared’s back-to-back photo sessions. They actually live out of state, but were having their wedding at the LDS Temple in La Jolla. They also wanted to do engagement photos which we did on a Thursday, followed by the wedding and photos the next day at the Temple on Friday.
Anyway, Angie & Jared were naturals in front of the camera and here’s a quick look:

Lisa & Brent…The Engagement Photos!

As you recall from the video a couple posts ago, we had a great session with Lisa & Brent. It’s always nice to get “the good light” and we had that in abundance. We’re looking forward to their wedding this Sunday. It should be a good one! Now, here’s the photos :)

We Flashed Some People In The Desert!

Get your minds out of the gutter…we’re talking about camera flash! Yes, we decided to take a flash out to the desert and see what we could do with it. As it turns out, we were able to do a lot, and as we fired off photo after photo and showed the LCD screen to our subjects, they were stoked. This was so much fun and we’re definitely looking forward to our next shoot in the desert….but not in the summer :)

March 24, 2009 - 7:44 am Jeff - That's my son at the top and my family at the bottom. What impressed me most is how good the shots looked on his camaera immediately after the shoot. Amazing color and composition.

March 24, 2009 - 2:33 pm lauren - WOWZA! (your cool factor def just went up)

March 24, 2009 - 7:28 pm Tim - Sweet shots you guys! You always amaze me at the diversity of your skills as photographers. You are true artists!

March 24, 2009 - 8:23 pm Beth - The second one is my son, what a great job making him look clean and fresh after riding all day in the heat. Way to capture the beatiful sun set in the desert.

March 26, 2009 - 7:22 am Todd - Wow...I've probably taken 10,000 sunset photos and have never had one look like these. My camera is going in the trash tonight!! ;-) Great quading photos. What about action photos on quads?
